When to go to Barro Alto: climate and calendar
Two clear seasons — rain in summer, drought in winter — and a short but lively local calendar.
Updated on October 4, 2026 ✓ Information checked on October 4, 2026 adapted from the Portuguese original
Barro Alto lies in the Cerrado, and its climate follows the biome’s pattern: rainy summers and very dry winters (remember that seasons in Brazil are the reverse of the northern hemisphere). There is no tourist “high season” — the best time depends on why you are going.
